Built for a pioneer, owned by a legend.

Built nearly a century ago for Pearl McCallum, daughter of one of Palm Springs' founding families and a pioneer of the young desert town, this Pueblo-Revival compound drew a certain kind of guest from the beginning.

The property was later sold to Gloria Swanson (1899–1983), the American actress and producer whose name it now carries. One of the most powerful figures of silent-era Hollywood, she produced her own pictures and negotiated her own contracts, and her turn as Norma Desmond in Billy Wilder's Sunset Boulevard (1950) remains one of the most acclaimed performances in American cinema.

In late 2016 the estate opened to guests as Amin Casa Palm Springs, an intimate boutique hideaway that earned a devoted following in the years that followed. In 2026 it was reborn as Gloria Palm Springs: the same walls, tiles, and gardens, under a new name that honors the screen legend who once called it home.

Reimagined for today's guests, the estate keeps its original character: hand-laid tiles and gardens of citrus and bougainvillea. With just eight keys across the property, Gloria is quiet by design: the pool is never crowded, and downtown Palm Springs is a five-minute stroll away.
